holistic vision

PATAGONIA ECOLIVING IS AN INTENTIONAL, REGENERATIVE COMMUNITY THAT AIMS TO AWAKEN TO THE BEAUTY, INSPIRATION AND ABUNDANCE OF THE EARTH THROUGH NATURE-BASED LIVING AND EXPERIENCES.

THE CORE VALUES OF OUR ECOCOMMUNITY EMBRACE THE CENTRALITY OF GOOD LAND STEWARDSHIP, APPRECIATION FOR NATURE, CONSERVATION, AND RESPECT FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL’S ENDEAVORS AND INTERESTS, AS WELL AS THE IMPORTANCE OF ORGANIC AGRICULTURE AND THE HEALING ARTS.

THE LAND

The land at Patagonia ecofarms is over 2,600 acres of beech forest and grassland surrounded by awe inspiring scenery. The land is bordered by the gorgeous Rio Simpson and is within minutes of the vibrant city of Coyhaique, which has a population of over 50,000. The land is only 60 minutes to an international airport. The layout of the land will be mindfully designed so homes and infrastructure overlook views to the river. The community design will be built into an environment that protects and conserves open space, native forest and (enter amount) acres of farmland. Our intention is to see and hold the land as a living organism and be the highest example of caregivers.

THE FARM

The centerpiece for the community is an established organic farm, which is home to hundreds of lovingly tended animals, native woods, 2.2 miles of gorgeous river frontage and acres and acres of beech forest and diverse grassland. Fundo Panguilemu EcoFarm has a wool and egg business, rural ecotourism business, organic produce, CSA, and wholesale to restaurants and food distribution.  We choose to enrich the land we live upon by following holistic regenerative practices. Our core belief is that through sound land management we can produce goods, which are desired by consumers, which in turn support our enterprises. This is a win-win solution for the land, for the consumers, and for the farm.

THE HOMES

The homes will be designed to compliment the beauty of the land on generous lots of either 1.3 or 2.6 acres. Initially 15-30 lots will be sold. A second phase may offer a similar sale of lots. This will still preserve over 2,000 acres of land for the farm. The beauty and architectural aesthetics of the farm homes will all be kept using indigenous building materials that reflect the local culture. In order to preserve the natural and cultural landscape of this region, homes and work places will maintain a traditional Chilean aesthetic in conjunction with utilizing the best contemporary sustainable technologies. There will also be an emphasis on the renewable off grid energy resources - hydro, solar and wind.

The Encantada Lodge

The Encantada Lodge will serve the Community residents and guests in an unparalleled setting for gatherings of resident dinners, intimate lectures, speakers, leadership groups, non-profits, and educational groups. These visiting groups will share their expertise in the areas of ecology, conservation, regenerative farm practices, holistic healing, yoga/meditation, spirituality, nature photography and more. The Lodge will also have guest rooms and a gourmet kitchen serving

farm to table food.

THE WELLNESS CENTER

The onsite Wellness Center will be a healing retreat and sanctuary that supports resident and community healers. It will be home to a community clinic that embraces a variety of holistic therapies, an herbal medicine pharmacy and wellness studies. This unique opportunity will bring a restorative and rejuvenative environment not only for the EcoLiving residents and visitors, but for the larger Coyhaique community wishing to gain holistic treatment.

THE COMMUNITY & YOU

Our community holds the vision of the absolute best environment in which to promote a healthy and joyful life of purpose for each individual or family member who resides part or full time here. There are multiple options to become a participant in the creation of products or services that will contribute not only to the health and well-being of you and your family, but also serve as a model for generations to come.

The EcoCommunity at Patagonia EcoFarms will serve as a beacon to show how Regenerative Agriculture, along with Regenerative Enterprises, can enrich the lives of our residents as well as benefiting our community and world. We hope to be able to show and teach how our farm and resident community can establish scalable and profitable enterprises, which are in holistic compatibility with the land and all our owners. We welcome any enterprises individuals may wish to direct their entrepreneurial talents towards. The Enterprises, which we are either operating now or are in the planning stages, are the following:

“Finding out about the eco community in Patagonia feels like an answer to my prayers. Being surrounded by pristine beauty, clean water and air, and having the opportunity to grow nourishing food in a sustainable way aligns deeply within me. I want my children to be a part of something beautiful, something whole, away from the bombardment of media and the toxic stresses of mainstream life. This is my prayer. And I am so grateful now to know about a place where I can clearly see myself and my family. ”

When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.
